DEPOK — Classrooms at MA Pesantren Al-Hamidiyah turned into vibrant mini-labs on Monday–Tuesday, 8–9 December 2025, as the school held The 2nd Week of STEAMMI for Grades X and XI. Running from 08.00 to 15.00 WIB, the two-day program brought science, technology, creativity, and teamwork together—allowing students to explore real-world problem-solving through hands-on Arduino projects.

This year’s STEAMMI activities focused on innovation with purpose. Grade 10 students worked on Arduino applications for LED light circuits, learning how coding and electronics integrate to create controlled lighting systems. Meanwhile, Grade 11 students took on a more advanced challenge by designing Arduino-based electronic sensor circuits, exploring how sensors detect and respond to environmental changes. The main goal of the program was to strengthen students’ analytical skills, boost creativity, and encourage collaborative learning—while nurturing confidence in presenting scientific ideas through posters, prototypes, and PPT presentations.

The first day opened with room setup, equipment preparation, and the initial circuit assembly. After a brief break, students continued building their projects before pausing for Dhuhr prayer and lunch. The afternoon was filled with trial runs, adjustments, and teamwork as each group prepared their designs for testing. Following cleanup, the activities shifted toward reflection and creativity—morning assembly, Dhuha prayer, Tabisin Bil Qolam, and the production of posters and presentation slides. The day concluded with the first round of project presentations where groups showcased what they had built and learned.

On the second day, students continued refining their posters and slides before entering another session of project presentations. Each group explained their circuit function, programming logic, and the challenges they encountered during assembly. After Dhuhr prayer and lunch, the final round of presentations took place, marking the culmination of two days of intensive but exciting innovation.

One of the participants, Virnie Rifiana Achmad (X-1), shared her impressions: “It was challenging at first because working with Arduino is new for many of us, but the process was really fun. We learned how to solve problems as a team, and seeing our project finally work gave me a big sense of achievement. I hope we can have more activities like this, where learning feels alive and hands-on.”
