Literacy Activities: Speak Aloud, Spark Imagination

To foster literacy skills from an early age, the school held a series of activities with the theme “Speak Aloud, Spark Imagination” from May 4–8, 2026. These activities aimed to encourage children to speak confidently, improve their communication skills, and develop creativity and imagination through fun and interactive learning experiences appropriate for each age group.
All students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the activities. Each class had a special theme designed to support children’s language, social, and creative development.
1. Playgroup – Show and Tell: Favorite Toys
The Playgroup students participated in a Show and Tell activity by talking about their favorite toys available in the classroom. The children were invited to choose a toy they liked and speak in front of their friends about the toy’s name, color, shape, and the reasons why they liked it.
This activity helped the children build confidence in speaking, expand their vocabulary, and practice listening while their friends shared stories. The classroom atmosphere was cheerful and exciting as each child expressed themselves enthusiastically.

2. Kindergarten A – Show and Tell : Favorite Transportation
The Kindergarten A students took part in an activity where they drew their favorite means of transportation, such as cars, trains, airplanes, ships, and bicycles. After completing their drawings, the children were encouraged to explain and talk about their artwork in front of the class.
Through this activity, the children learned to express their ideas in simple sentences, recognize different types of transportation, and develop their creativity and imagination. The activity also helped improve their confidence in speaking and sharing ideas with others.


3. Kindergarten B – Show and Tell : Favorite Book
The Kindergarten B students joined an activity with the theme Favorite Book. The children talked about their favorite books, including the story, their favorite characters, and the parts they enjoyed the most.
As part of the activity, the Kindergarten B students also visited other classrooms to read and share their favorite stories with younger students. This experience encouraged them to speak more confidently, practice storytelling skills, and inspire other children to enjoy reading books.
This activity encouraged children to love books and develop reading habits from an early age. It also helped improve their speaking skills, memory, and ability to express their opinions and ideas.
The students were very enthusiastic while sharing stories and listening to their friends’ experiences about reading.
